Renaud Lefou was a master mesmerist, but an otherwise unassuming French citizen. He spent his days working in Paris, helping his customers (often insomniacs and the mentally disturbed) to relax, then healing their troubled minds as they slumbered. When the Rikti attacked, Renaud was struck with a powerful mental blast, driving him irrevocably mad.
However, the blast enabled Renaud to tap into new regions of his brain, strengthing his abilities and giving him access to strange new powers. He helped to subdue the Rikti in Paris, then felt drawn to Paragon City by an unknown force. While Renaud still heals the minds of the ailing, he now uses his hypnotic skills to spread his madness to those who would bring evil into the world.
Threat Level: Renaud's peculiar talents have proven to be more of a nuisance than a true threat while he's on his own, but he is highly effective at augmenting the abilities of his fellow heroes. Remain alert if he is with others.
