Abilities: Able to manifest beams of radiation to weaken foes. Can reduce a target's movement, power, and energy while increasing her own. Able to heal wounds by draining energy from others.

Background Information: Sylvia Cole was 3 months pregnant when she and her husband, Marcus, learned that their neighborhood was contaminated with trace levels of radiation poisoning. Neither of them suffered any major side effects or reactions to the radiation but their unborn child was another matter. Every specialist they saw said that the radiation had entered the child's bloodstream and there was nothing they could do to reverse the damage. Fearing for their child's life, the Coles traveled to Paragon City where a specialist in child abnormalities and mutations observed Sylvia and her unborn child for the next 5 months. With no sign of any physical abnormalities and evidence that the radiation had bonded with the child's DNA, the specialist told the Cole's that the child would be fine.

It was only 3 weeks later when Sylvia was contacted by a powerful psychic that they learned how they had gotten so lucky. The psychic told them she had been contacted by an ancient Roman Goddess about the Cole's unborn child. The Goddess had explained that, in an attempt to intervene in the mortal world, she had given the child control over the radiation in her body in addition to the pure kinetic energy of living beings. Her hope was that the child would one day use these powers to help others and fight injustices in the world.

A couple weeks later Sylvia Cole gave birth to a very strong and healthy baby girl. In honor of the generous benefactor who saved their child's life, Sylvia and Marcus named their daughter Furina. Furina was an extremely bright child who rarely manifested her abilities in front of others. She was told the story of how she almost never lived at an early age and vowed to live up to the Goddess' wishes. She diligently completed her education, studying the energies she could control, and then set off for Paragon City to fulfill her duties. As far as Sylvia and Marcus know, Furina has never been contacted by the Goddess.

Threat Level: Moderate. Subject is relatively weak but appears to be increasing in her abilities at a rapid pace. Further inquiry is needed into any current connections with Roman deities.
