Razeer is an immigrant from Russia recently granted citizenship. Raised to 13 years of age on a farming commune near the Ukraine border and Chernobyl.

At the age of 17 his powers first manifested when a group of ruffian's attacked his sister. Unaware of his own strength, one of the youths was killed, and the rest badly injured.

He was quietly sent to live with his uncle in Paragon City and has quietly lived in shame of this action (although justified) since.

At first he adopted the red white and blues, influenced by American heroes and the culture. His soviet allies gave him odd glances certainly, but the young Razeer felt more comfortable in the colors of his new homeland.

Razeer, at the time, was a true innocent of heart, but that all changed.

About a year ago, Razeer simply vanished. Unknown to all he had been taken by aliens allied to the Rikti, and both imprisoned and experimented on with the idea of sending him back to earth reprogrammed as a sleeper agent. They amplified his powers, adding wings to increase his agility in flight, and augmenting his skin with a metallic treatment that left him even more resistant to physical harm, yet rendered his complexion obsidian black.

Razeer and a fellow hero escaped recently, before the programming could take hold. The experience was not without consequences on his psyche and he is quite scarred as a result.

Razeer clings tightly to the communist idealogical line of thinking as an anchor for his sanity, while he regains his bearings now that he is back on earth.

And in his heart, he longs for the day when the Rikti return so he can visit the pain upon them that they had provided him daily as their "guest."
