Marcus "16 Tons" Johnson is a standard "hero" from almost every aspect. On the path gang oblivion, he was the victim of a stray radiation blast as a teen in a battle between the Backalley Brawler and an unnamed villain; Marcus was taken to the hospital and subsequently visited by the Brawler during recovery. Recovery time was much longer than normal due to the physical change and mutation brought about by the injury. He appears to possess slightly below average intellect and a very simplistic view of life and crime. He tends to be pit-bull like in the pursuit of a goal.
