We're not sure what to make of this one. He claims to be an adventurer from the planet Mars, and credits himself with discovery of life on Earth; however, to our knowledge, Mars still appears to be uninhabited.
Most of the information we have on Mar-Vin is readily available in magazine interviews and televised talk shows. By his own account, Mar-Vin first became renowned on Mars three years ago by defeating something called "Zzyzx, the Energy Beast from Venus." (The existence of energy beasts on Venus, of course, has not yet been verified.) Evidently, Zzyzx posed a threat to Martian life, and Mar-Vin fought him off at the cost of his own right arm, which was blown off by an electrical blast. According to Mar-Vin, since this adventure he has been known as "The Hero of Mars."
Mar-Vin has also more than once recounted the story of the Over-Reactor. Apparently, all Martians have radioactive skin, but their levels of radioactivity can vary from one Martian to the next. Mar-Vin claims that the Martian most in control of his radioactivity was a "space pirate" named Wal-Ton, who attempted to hold a major Martian city hostage with the threat of a meltdown. Supposedly, after defeating the villain, Mar-Vin imprisoned Wal-Ton in the city's power generating facility, where he (unconsciously) provides power to the entire planet.
Mar-Vin's true identity is unverifiable, but perhaps of more interest to us is the technology he uses in his "adventures." We know that he uses a device capable of generating power force fields; a separate device, capable of instantaneous travel across vast distances; and that he is, in fact, equipped with a cybernetic prosthetic right arm.
After a recent battle, torn fragments of Mar-Vin's clothing revealed what appears to be a power-dampening sub-net. We believe he uses this system, underneath his various costumes, to control and direct his natural radioactivity. However, it should be noted that Geiger counter readings indicate that prolonged exposure to Mar-Vin, even with his sub-net on, could lead to baldness and sterility.
It is also postulated that Mar-Vin uses a holographic projector and some kind of signal-jamming device, allowing him to go undercover and pass as a human. Alternatively, some of our more imaginative operatives suggest he may be spending time on his spaceship in orbit -- which has not yet been noticed by our astronomers. Both suggestions stem from our inability to keep tabs on the alien at all times; indeed, he seems to disappear for hours or days at a time.
In short, more information needs to be gathered on this potential threat. In the meantime, we advise our agents to avoid physical contact, and if at all possible, to not draw his attention. He seems more interested in hunting monsters than going after our interests, but that could change if he is provoked.
