Brief Assessment: Subject unlikely to be of use to Crey projects. She is hazardous to normal life, so her use as an agent would be little to none. Not a direct threat at this time, though she has clashed with our operatives in the past. Future threat level unknown.
Recommendation: Surveillance. Avoid direct confrontation.
Known Abilities:
Afterburner emits intense heat and radiation. With concentration she is able to control this to some extent, but it seems to be difficult. She seems to be able to fly at supersonic speeds, and exist in space.
Additional Information:
Our agents have had a difficult time uncovering information on this individual. She appears to have come from an alternate universe in which she is the daughter of the hero known as the Masked Shrike. This may well be true; her powers may well rise from mutations caused by the Shrike's amulet. Most likely, she would have been affected by the symbiotic artifact while gestating. There is some speculation that she may eventually 'go nova' or even become a star or some type of celestial body.
Afterburner has few close contacts, though she has joined a small group known as the Elementalists. She cultivated a few close friends, including known heroes Wingman and Ondo, but these relationships seem to have fallen apart recently. An individual identified as her brother, 'Sundog' Anderson, has followed from her original universe. Their relationship also seems to have become strained. This may have to do with her deteriorating condition. It is nearly impossible for non-metas or unprotected humans to be anywhere near this individual. Accordingly, she spends most of her time alone, and increasingly takes to space.
It is clear that her containment suit, made for her by an individual we have identified as the hero Halogena, is at its limit. Though she resides in a converted underground storage facility in Independence Port, authorities clearly believe she could become a hazard to life.
Relevance to Revenant Project: It is unlikely that this subject would make a useful template. Even if her powers can be duplicated, they are far too difficult to control. Subject should be considered expendable.
