Threat Assessment: Moderate
Initial investigations have revealed little credible information pertaining to the entity known as Shade. Unconfirmed reports list probable sightings dating back to the early nineteen thirties. Several rumors and myths have been found to be circulating among the many organized crime families pertaining to the subject.
He is said to be an angel of death, belief in these stories is attributed to the connection between the extermination of the Ventinalli family in 1936 and the extermination of the Carlone family in 1998. Whether the being known as Shade is truly responsible is at this time unknown.
He is however known to be a relentless and very dangerous opponent. His ability to pass though solid matter allows him to simply walk through most obstacles, he has also shown himself to be unharmed by conventional weapons do to the same phasing capabilities. However some evidence does show a possible weakness to energy and particle weapons. He has also shown an aversion to certain places supposedly under mystical protection.
He is known to carry a pair of custom Colt M1911A1s. These unique pistols were typical of both military and law enforcement personnel during the 30s and 40s. With the military continuing issue into the latter part of the of the 1980s and early 90s. The guns seem to have some form of either technological or mystical modification, as they are capable of firing both solid projectiles as well as bolts of psychic energy, which seem to have various effects depending on the strength of the bolt.
Currently the subject has maintained a presence throughout the seedier portions of the city, mainly dealing with low-level crime families and common thugs. Although he has had some little impact on Crey interests in those areas, he has not shown himself as a threat against the company itself.
