Background:When on the topic of ordinary people put in extreme situations, Luke Marshall often comes to mind. Born into a seemingly ordinary family, Luke grew up just as any ordinary American kind ought to have. At age 16, Luke's parents were both killed in a car accident, and just like that, the ordinary aspect of Luke's life was dissolved instantly. Marshall moved in to stay with his grandfather, William Marshall, who lovingly accepted him into his home. Despite having a health record that was shaky at best, William never failed to provide a warm family atmosphere for a teenager that had all the reason in the world to be resentful and uncaring.
Over the years, Luke was able to regain a foothold in what he hoped was an ordinary life. He graduated from Galaxy High School, and was enthusiastically accepted into Paragon City University. It seemed that as Luke advanced through life, William's health seemed to deteriorate. Though the two aspects were not connected in anyway, it was the simple fact that years of smoking had finally caught up with him, and William was soon diagnosed with lung cancer.
Before the time of his death, William revealed information of the most un-ordinary to his most trusted confidante; his grandson, Luke. William revealed that he had many years ago been a defender of truth and justice in a time most people herald as the "Golden Age." Armed with magical and mystical gauntlets of immense and unlimited power, William combated evil and injustice as the hero, Twilight. Over the years, William became unable to continue due to old age and retired into a life of normalcy.
What William had failed to mention before his death, was what Luke was to do with the power imposed on him. As the single and only heir to his grandfather's assets and estate, Luke was suddenly faced with a choice of the most un-ordinary. Should he take up the gauntlets, and continue the legacy that his grandfather started so many years ago, or should he put them away for good?
I'm pretty sure the answer to that question was most obvious.
From the start, Luke found handling the gauntlets quite clumsy and troublesome. The hero community also was very unaccepting of Luke from the start, regarding him as an unworthy amateur and a rookie.
It was then that Luke found comfort within a brotherhood of heroes and heroines with the same knack for not being able to fit in. This group was later known as the Underground.
Over time, with the help of seasoned heroes, Luke has slowly, but ever so surely developed his powers. Though his full potential is still uncertain, Luke continues to delve deeper into his family's heritage, and ultimately unlock the power that had been passed down to him.

Known Superhuman Powers: Subject's powers are derived from two magic-based gauntlets rumored to have been brought from a medieval time period by means of magical time travel. At present time, we are unable to fully recognize the emerald gaunlets' full potential. So far, we have observed the gauntlets to be capable of energy creation and manipulation in the form of energy blasts, protective force bubbles and containment fields. Other observations have been observed to grant the wearer full flight capabilities.
