The Confessor is one of Paragon Cities few remaining enigmas. It is known that he has been operating in Paragon City for over a century, but somehow he manages to show extreme fitness, super human speed, strength and a complete and total aversion to being killed, or atleast remaining dead.
The earliest verifiable account of him operating in Paragon City goes back over 90 years ago and was documented by several local papers. Since this predates both modern advanced technology and the increased rate of human mutation it is assumed his origin is magical or supernatural in nature.
Crey historians have managed to track down several instances of the Confessor being shot, burned, blown up and otherwise having grievous bodily harm done to him. These events are usually followed by a year or two of inactivity and then an almost brutal reapperance on the scene and a terrible vengance against the perpetrators.
The Confessor recently disappeared for a period of 16 months following his apparant destruction at the hands of a Rikti Warship. Despite attempts by Project Revenant Security forces and special ops to recover his remains no corpse was found. Recently he has been seen around the city tracking down Rikti war bands and spies with an almost eerie accuracy. Evidently Rikti attempts at camoflauge and shape shifting have no effect on him or he has discovered a way to discern their real identities regardless.
SCIENTIFIC ANALYSIS
Recently The Confessor destroyed one of our research labs where Project Revenant cloning was going on. During that altercation one of our security specialists was able to obtain some DNA from him. However only hours after having arrived on site it disintegrated into dust. What little scientific data we were able to gather in that short period of time leads us to believe that The Confessor is not human, or atleast not human in the conventional sense. Careful study of scientific data generated by our few encounters with him as well as his ability to survive almost certain death seems to indicate that this individual is of a super natural nature, perhaps a vampire?

Subject: The Confessor
Based on previous research we attempted to apprehend The Confessor using a combination of Crucifix's, Holy Water and Garlic. We laid an ambush for him at a local church he seems fond of creeping around late at night. Unfortunately the ambush turned into a route. Based on video footage returned by an agents occular implants we were able to discern that while the crucifix's seemed to distress him somewhat, they in no way or form prevented him from defeating our agents. Perhaps initial speculations on his nature were incorrect or flawed in some manner? We did manage to get a recording of his voice along with this cryptic comment, "What does a man of the cloth have to fear from the staff of Christ?"
Does this mean that The Confessor is a priest? Perhaps a priest and a vampire? Does his religious conviction give him some sort of immunity to the normal weaknesses of a traditional vampire? If that is the case then his security threat level should be immediately upgraded. If he ever comes after us there may be little we can do to stop him.
