The Hero known only as Vendel was a member of the Army’s special forces during and before the Rikti war. The exact nature of his missions is still unknown to us. Needless to say his actions earned him the rank of Lt. Colonel. Officially he is retired, but we suspect he still has close ties with the Department of Defense.
What is known about his last mission is sketchy at best. During the final days of the Rikti War, Vendel’s unit codename “Centurions” was sent on a very dangerous mission. Upon completion of that mission Vendel was the only one not to return. One other member of that unit was Gaidan Kane (see files on Gaidan) He was apparently so distraught over this that he was soon medically discharged from the military. Our records cannot determine if this is the real reason or not. (If so this close friendship between the two Heroes may be exploited.)
After this Vendel suddenly reappeared as a cyborg. (He was for all we know completely human before that last mission.) He sought out his friend Gaidan. Together they reformed the Centurions as a super group. They were quickly joined by other heroes (See all Centurion files)
Vendel continues to use military weapons and devices as his main means of attack and defense in Paragon. He has been noted to use several types of grenades including web and smoke. Also has been “seen” using a cloaking device. To which he has used to great effect. His cybernetic enhancements seem to have yielded him superhuman abilities. He has been seen jumping hundreds of meters and running at incredible speeds (not clocked)
Vendel is to be considered a priority 1 threat. Any and all personal are not to engage him alone.
