Threat Assessment

Threat Assessment: Extreme

The following information has been pieced together by information we have discovered or collected over the years in observation of the Subject, Masaaki Hongo. All records that we obtained or created can be viewed in this file. It was with those such files, we have made the following conclusions:

Masaaki grew up in a small town near the city of Fukuoko. She was raised a farmer's daughter, learning to til the land and plant crops for their family. She learned of her powers in early childhood, finding the easy way to til the ground for her father. News of the wonder girl spread easily throughout the town, and even made it through the streets of Fukuoko.

It wasn't til her mid teens when she realized the cons of her "gifts". In 1995, a huge earthquake tore through the Fukuoko area. Masaaki was asleep when it happened, and woke up to the shaking ground. She quickly ran to her parent's room where she found them, dead, covered in debris. Her heart broke and she sent her anger towards the earth, causing it to tremble more fiercly than ever. Then, It stopped. She had imposed her will on the earth itself.

Masaaki didn't even have time to mourn her parent's deaths when knocks came at her door. It seemed the events were unnatural, meaning that someone or something had caused them. That left the finger pointing directly at Masaaki. She knew deep down, that she was actually the one who stopped the quake, but would they believe her? She pondered that question all that day and into the night, when another visitor came to see her.

The man was large in stature, and definately not Japanese. He seemed German to her for some reason.

"Poor Child" He said. "To have such a burden on your shoulders. They hate you for something you haven't even done. Pity."

Masaaki looked up at the man, tears in her eyes. "Yes sir." She said. "Yet I have this tugging at my heart that tells me you are the one who is truly responsible."

The man smiled. "Oooh. Good Guess." he laughed. "But please child. Don't think of it as a means to destroy. It was a mere lesson. I wanted to show you how easily humans can turn on you. However, that is a lesson for another day. You will see child. There's us, and there's them. There is no peace. I give you one day. Come find me. And join us. We can use your particular "Talents". Farewell." After his farewell, he slammed the door and left. Masaaki started to cry.

She knew deep down that he was a wicked man. A man that had killed her parent's yet called it a lesson? He would never see the day she would join him and as long as she was here, she was threatening her village and everyone in it. She bid her parents and her village farewell and gathered all the belongings she could, selling everything for a plane ticket to America. She planned on going somewhere she could tone her powers and also a place that would stand well protected from any harm that may follow her. Paragon City. City of Heroes. A place that could stand protected, and possibly protect her.

With no money, she walked the streets looking for a job when she passed by a magazine stand. She saw the advertisement as clear as day.
"DELPHICSOFT PRESS RELEASE

- Tired of juggling a regular job and being a super hero?
We'll pay for you to help us make the world a better place and and set you up with room and board."

This was an answer to her prayers. She took in a deep breath as she walked to the address on the ad.
It wasn't long before she was fighting along the sides of The League of Titans and sharing victories with her team mates.

She learned what being a hero was about and had learned fighting techniques as well.

However, corporation took root in the team and she soon found herself back on the streets when the team merged with two other teams, prefferring the more experienced over the rookies.

In despair, Michi made her way out of Paragon City and moved down south to Baltimore Maryland. It was there she ran into a hero by the name of Brianna, whom she had learned was a member of the Protectorate stationed in Baltimore. And it so happened they were looking for hard working heroes.

Desperate for a chance to fight crime, she heard the call for heroes to the Protectorate. She rushed to sign up as soon as she could. As she advanced in ranks, she learned new things here. Medicine, military protocol and obedience where of top priority. She also learned her way with computers and developed something she hadn't had before.....honor.

It wasn't long when her potentials became realized and she was soon sent back to Paragon City to assist in the new chapter of the Protectorate there. Her knowledge of the city and it's foes should be a pricless asset.

However, once again, her team was to be closed, and she was sent to the streets, jobless and teamless. It was then that she was discovered by Victoria Elsing and became an ally to the Knights of the Round who introduced her to the City Watch, whom she joined, but later left as the life of a television star wasn't one she seeked.

Once again, teamless, she could still be found in the prescence of Knights of the Round or other affiliates, like a lost lamb trying to find her pasture and shepard.

On one particularily lonely day, Michi found herself in the Hollows, underground in a recently purged Troll Tunnel. She loved it there and felt at home amongst the earth and stone that carved the crevice's walls. She sat there thinking of her home and the long journey she had been on. Longing for what she had, her parents, her family's love, and a small, peaceful place to call home. A tear fell down her face at the thought of it, but she quickly wiped it away when she thought of what she had gained on her journey. Honor, wisdom, power, and most of all, the love of friends.

As she sat on the dirt floor of the tunnel, she looked up when she heard the whispers. So soft they were nearly inaubible. She, gently rose, and walked towards it when she saw the faint glow of what seemed to be a stone lying on the floor. She bent down to touch it when a voice filled her head, speaking in the similar tones of the Earth. It told her to seek out the one called Yin and to show him the stone.

Curious as to it's origin and demands, she gently picked it up and looked for this so called Yin.
