 We have just recently learned that Subject #3133 managed to rescue a hapless adventurer named Waylon McCrane from the clutches of the frightening Tuatha de Dannon, somewhere in the Croatoa vicinity.
Apparently, McCrane was hired by the mayor of Croatoa to deal with the otherworldly beasts, but it turned out that he wasn't as good of a supernatural exterminator as he had boasted, for he quickly got himself captured by the very foes he was hunting. Serendipity brought Cactus Man into the picture, for he happened to be in just the right place at just the right time when the mayor called for a hero to help save him. After an extended sojourn through a dank cavern, Subject #3133 found McCrane and the two fought off waves of Tuatha de Dannon minions to return to the surface world.
We have also confirmed that as thanks, McCrane gave Cactus Man his steel bow and set of arrows for a souvenir (possibly as a sign of McCrane's desire to give up the adventuring life). What he plans to do with it, if anything, remains to be seen. |
