Article from the Paragon Times:
PARAGON CITY, RI, January 20thThe gang wars that have wracked Paragon City since the end of the Rikti War took a turn for the worse early yesterday evening, claiming six more lives in a battle which shows no sign of letting up.
Suzio Botelli, Exton Stranboni, Johnny Noface, Carlioni, Mobster K, and Tony Scarpioni were the six latest victims in a war that threatens to engulf Paragon City. While the gunman has yet to be identified, it is believed the killings were a revenge attack on a family movement against the superhero community.
"I know it was one of them damn capes." says Sonny Bernardo, a close confidant of the deceased, "They always gotta have the last laugh - no sign of respect!"
Ireland Love, the superhero at the centre of the recent controversy was unable for comment. It is believed the transgressions occurred due to money owed to Sebastian Frost, from the heroes former partner, who's location and identity is still currently unknown. Although it is known he went by the alias of "Loan Shark" during his stay in Paragon.
The known body count has now risen to eight. With Vito Bernardo having been shot dead by a police officer hours before the transgressions took place. And Father Michaels having been found dead earlier in the week.
Duggy McFresh, an individual more renown for his title of "MC Xanatos" is believed to be somehow connected to the shootings. McFresh is currently at large and all citizens are advised to use caution before approaching.
It is believed that the subject was paid by sources close to Sebastian Frost to solicite money from Magie Walsh. The subject did this of his own accord, declaring that his families life was at stake. In all actuallity, such claims are false. And the subject is easilly motivated by Money.
The subjects expulsion from the Liberty League (And arguably the metahuman community at large) is believed to be on account of this. |
